Introducing PodBot

We love podcasts. And so do many people. According to podcastatistics.com there are 580 million podcast listeners worldwide, and the average person lsitens to 7 hours a week of their favorite shows.

There are many ways to find and listen to the best podcasts, but we created PodBot as a new podcast app with two main aims:

Firstly, we wanted to create a clean, easy-to-use app to subscribe and listen to your favorite podcasts. There are lots of podcast apps out there: some good, and some not so good. PodBot doesn’t try to duplicate every feature in every existing app, but it does aim to deliver a straightforward core experience to subscribe and listen to podcasts that’s ad-free for all users.

Secondly, we wanted to make is easier to consume and engage with the enormous range of audio content available. To do that we’ve baked a range of features right into the app where we listen to audio. With PodBot you can also:

• Transcribe any podcast to read, refer to, export or search at a later time

• Create a synopsis of what was said

• Create a recap of any podcast you are part way through

• Ask our in house chatbot “PodBot” about the content of any podcast and get back an answer, and a direct link to the audio content

PodBot started out as a proof of concept to see if AI-tooling would improve the overall podcast experience. We loved the experience so much, and found that PodBot was our favorite podcast app so quickly, that we decided to make is available more widely.

We launch in private preview in December 2025, with an aim to be widely available early in 2026. The app is still evolving, so we welcome feedback. To try us out please download from the Google Play Store. To keep updated please follow us on X or BlueSky.
